COLLECTION
Pretty But Useless is a collection that grew out of the artist’s interest in vintage aesthetics. Rather than treating vintage as a style or a category, the works come from a moment where this way of looking became part of everyday life. The exhibition developed naturally, guided by taste, repetition, and what felt familiar at the time.
While working, simple questions kept coming up: why some things feel valuable, why others don’t, and whether usefulness really matters. These questions weren’t meant to be answered or explained. They stayed in the background while the works were being made. Petty But Useless reflects that moment - shaped by personal interest, curiosity, and the act of making.
